The quality of development: a technical and cultural challenge for the 21st century

Our "Centro studi l' uomo e l' ambiente" is an indipendent non-profit cultural association of scientific and technological research and coordination of innovative knowledge in the field of quality development.

Cultural objective: Realization of the Cultural Project:"Quality Development".

Our "Centro Studi" operates for the organization of the scientific, technical, and legislative response to the problems of development qualification, based on economical competition and the environmental sustainability.

For the achievment of its goals, our organization has at its disposal:

1) AN INTERDISCIPLINARY SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE :

agriculture, ecology, architecture, chemistry, economics, law, engineering, medicine, natural sciences, statistics. It is representative of the major Italian Universities and Research Centres.

2) A DOCUMENTATION CENTRE:

an interface between R&D processes, on a community and world scale, and researchers, entrepreneurs and rulers at various levels (town councils, provinces, and regions). Our "Centro Studi" offers an advanced documentation service with access to a wide range of databases in the scientific and technical fields.

3) STUDY GROUPS ON "QUALITY DEVELOPMENT".

We have edited some dossiers for the Italian Ministry of the Environment, e.g. Biological monitoring technology of hazardous air emissions and Process technology and advanced treatment methods of paper mill effluents.

4) AMBIENTE RISORSE SALUTE (ENVIRONMENT RESOURCES HEALTH) (ISSN 0393-0521):

a monthly journal of science, technique and culture for quality development. First published in 1982, it is now one of the most qualified publications in this field in our Country.

5) INF - INN INFORMAZIONE INNOVATIVA (INNOVATIVE INFORMATION) (ISNN 1122-0481):

a fortnightly bulletin of information and advanced documentation, on the innovation problems on a community and world scale:

5. Pollution control, recycling, reuse
6. Agro-industry

Further activities, having the same scope, are being carried out in the following areas: coordination of innovative knowledge on a world scale, direct activity of R&D, advanced consultancy, feasibility studies, information and documentation services.
